Dies ist ein häufiger Pilz in Feuchtperioden. Er besiedelt mit unzähligen Fruchtkörpern Holzäste und seine helle Farbe lässt ihn kaum übersehen.

Im Gegensatz zu Marasmius rotula hat Collybiopsis ramealis viel kürzere und hellere Stiele. Auch die HDS ist unterschiedlich.
